Just a few days ago I heard this song on my radio station. The first thoughts I had about this, was that this is pretty similiar to the sound of Daft Punk. I searched around the web and found out, that this song was before the Daft Punk song “Technology”. I like booth of them. Check out the sound *DANCE!!*

Oh guys, where’s the time. My last 4 weeks were extreamly busy and I had a lot of things to do. I had my first gig at a birthdayparty of a good friend and it was a big success for me and my music. I met some DJ’s on this party and maybe I can get some good efforts out of these new relationships ;-)

Today I rocked my turntables and produced this new stuff. A cool small Mix right to the start of the summertime!! Yeah! Enjoy it and be ready for more posts this month.

mixtapeUhaa! Incredible but true ;-)… there was a little bit of time to get some workout on my new mixtape. It’s my first one with the new Equipment and of course you can say that there are a few beatmatching mistakes and gaps, but I will will go on to practise as much as I can. But also I can say, that my skills now at the moment are completely different to those a couple of weeks ago.
Typing this playlist, I realized that I used a lot of Radio Edit versions - please call me “Radio Edit Addicted” :-)

Pioneer DJM 400

djm-400My newest toy is the Pioneer DJM 400! After a long way of searching for a mixer that would fit my personal needings on mixing there was no chance for the other vendors like Reloop or Vestax. After mixing for two weeks with this hardware my choice was defentitely the right in spending a little bit more money.
With the DJM-400, Pioneer has finally made a mid-range mixer that incorporates some of their famous on-board effects, in-demand features and the general style of the popular DJM-600 and 500 mixers. The DJM-400 is like a streamlined DJM-600 with two channels. There’s an in-loop sampler, kills on the 3 band equalizer and a completely digital 24bit/96Khz mixing bus.

There’s no question that the Pioneer DJM-400 offers a lot in a relatively small package. The sound quality will be great across the board, even the loops are run through the 24bit/96Khz mixing bus so there is no loss of quality or noticeable downgrade from the source. The effects are always fun, and with the right touch they can make your set that much better. And the in-loop sampler is a really useful tool for many DJs. For anybody who isn’t heavily into scratching, this mixer offers plenty room to maneuver and quite a lot to play with.

I ordered the mixer at the Elevator shop, because they had the best price and no shipping costs.

Finally it’s true! I bought my first two DJ-CD-Players a few days ago. Until now I have to wait for them, because they aren’t shipped yet, so I’m trying to be patiened.

After a long search and a lot of reading on reviews and websites, Pioneer is definitively the great thing everywhere. First I wanted to buy two CDJ 200 players, but the pricing never satisfied me although I looked at Ebay, because there was never the goal to get these players as new ones. I thought if I could find some healthy and good looking players on Ebay and save some money … why not? Keep in mind, that these are my first players at all.
After watching YouTube videos and reading a lot more I had another special candidate on my list. It was the DENON DNS-1000 CD/MP3 Player. The MP3 functionality was a real must have for me, because I wanted to keep the amount of Cd’s I have to transport manageable. The player has a slot-in drive which is really comfortable for fast switching the cd’s without demolishing any tray. I read about the good quality of this product on several forums and they recommended it for rookies.

I would like to write a short review or make a video about my new players in a couple of days. To get my set complete also a mixer is needed. But at this point the whole thing starts from the beginning and by now I’m reading, combining and searching … stay tuned!

Beatport? No thanks! Too expensive!

After I decided to buy some digital music online, I browsed around at beatport.com to find out some of the latest club tracks. The amount of tracks there is really amazing and also you get a nice sorted library, but what happend with the prices over there? I can’t understand, why to pay over 2 Euro for a new track!
After searching frustrated for an alternative shop, I discovered djshop.de linked in a special house music forum post. After exploring the website and checking on new tunes, it was really amazing! There I just can get the hottest new club trax, stream them and choose between different remixes I would like to buy. I’m allowed to burn the tracks on cd and they are served in nice 320 kbit/s :-D

All together every new mp3 track from 0,89 to 0,99 € !!

I’m really happy with this platform and I also bought a couple of tracks. Check out my list, there are seriously some very good tunes on it ;-)
My personal favourite for this time is Number 1.

I just found a nice video on YouTube from the Welcome to the Club Christmas Rave 2008 at Kinki Palace, which I mentioned on my last post. Unfortunately I wasn’t there last winter 2008, but I will be back at the Spring Rave 2009 this year ;-)

I also got a new favourite Djane from YouTube. She is called “DJ Ama” check out her MySpace-Site and watch some of her mix videos. I really like it!

Finally I did a small mixtape this weekend and now there’s no doubt I want to show it to you. After had’n a great holiday week, tomorrow my school lessons will start all over again, but this week was absolutely a party week. Check out the website of my favourite electro club next to me. It’s called “Kinki Palace” located in “Sinsheim”. So if you want to have a great party time visit this club in the near future and kick the bass :-D
